Librarian here. Thank you for sharing. And thankfully in my experience many men * do read* novels. I know reading has gotten me through good times and bad.

I feel the same way - reading (and writing) are so cathartic!

Have you thought of doing some author talks in public libraries?

I would love to - I did a couple with my last book. If you know of any libraries that are interested in having me talk, I'd be happy to do that, thanks!

Thank you both for a great discussion! I'm glad I was able to catch it live. I hope you do the book club at a time I can join live, too.

Dan, it's great to get to know you and your work. I appreciated your thoughts and perspectives, and I'll do what i can to encourage men around me to read! :)

And yes, Olivia, Write. A. Book! I'll even do the music for the audio book edition for you ;) LOL

Just finished chapter 4 and it just keeps getting better, so….yep! :) I love the amazing amount of detail you put into your descriptions. You paint the world of the story very vividly with incredible specificity. Love it!

The narrator Moniqua Plante did a great job. She’s really good at audiobooks.

Michael Cohen spent time in prison, in part, for the Stormy Daniel's payment. Why shouldn't Trump be accountable too?

The courage displayed by you, Olivia, is very inspiring. It seems like you have experienced a lot of the same oppressive tactics that so many other women have dealt with for decades. I love that you are fighting back and refuse to be silenced.

Thank you Olivia and Dan. A good informative discussion. POTUS seems to get away with everything. Friends of mine voted for him and they’re tired of him.

A public shaming may have swapped the scaffold for the screen, but the mechanics haven’t changed much since the pillory—save that now the mob arrives with better lighting and meme templates. Your Coldplay couple may yet get their Manti Te’o documentary; until then, the crowd remains, as ever, in fine voice. - Buy now! Dan Schorr's "Open Bar"!

Thanks Olivia & Dan: A great informative pod cast. It seem as if the rich and famous seem to get buy with this barbaric action. I think of Trump "When you are famous you can get away with it. Grab them by the whatever" He must know it is a crime is he claims he can get away with it. 'Sexual assaults seem to be a rabid world problem. They take a young girl or an older lady and shame them. " Look how she dressed , she deserved it" Some little men take great liberties with the young , innocent , trusting children. Murdering their souls. Changing their lives forever . All I can say it real men love strong , intelligent women.

I don't know much about powerful men because I've never had that kind of power nor have I been around those who did. But I can make a conjecture, that a measurable percent of men seek power so that they can get away with sexually abusing women.

If you've seen my other posts, you've probably heard me say that preventing powerful people from abusing people with less power is one of the fundamental goals of civilization, and one of civilization's most intractable problems.
