The National Security Cloak Is Coming for the Midterms - this is expected and part of this will be fomenting discord, IMHO from DHS and the harassment of Americans - trying to incite civil unrest. What choice does he have? His poll numbers are terrible, the world hates him, Americans see the takeover of our justice system and vindictive prosecution - WELL MAYBE NOT HIS DUMB SUPPORTERS ABOUT TO LOSE THEIR HEALTH CARE!

Just one comment about Trump's "stranger things have happened" line
This is why I consider polls to be meaningless:
1) They've been colossally wrong for over a decade. And by 'wrong', I mean WAY wrong. Kamala was up 2-3 points just before the election; Hillary, same. And remember Iowa was going to turn blue? Trump won the state by 9 points.
2) Without proof, I assert there's a dynamic no one talks about: When polled, a decent % of ppl who intend to vote red lie. Their inner self is embarrassed. So they lie.
3) But my main point is this: None of the polls are capable of factoring in their plans to disrupt the elections; prevent ppl from voting, tamper with machinery; throw paper ballots from blue areas in the nearest dumpster and more. J6 was a seat of the pants clown show, BUT ... it almost worked. This time around, with so much at stake - like a lot of them staying out of jail - whatever they do will be organized much better organized and widespread.
So when I read that, for example, Talarico is up 3 points ... meaningless
Point #3 well taken. Kamala Harris' lead by 2-3 points in the polls and a possible sure win was cheated out of that win by voter purges and other shenanigans per investigative journalists. She gave in too soon. The country is being run by a malignant psychopath with delusions of grandeur and other psychopathic ideations. His fascist regime and cult-like sycophantic followers will go to any length to stay in power and they head for the ballot boxes first to claim victory by illegally tampering with the system.
Once Trump operatives seize the ballots, it will be too late to ask the court for some sort of injunction. The chain of custody will have been broken and the election becomes invalid. Any chance to challenge improbable Republican wins or unsubstantiated claims of victory by demanding hand recounts will have been lost. The only chance for governors, state attorney generals or election officials to protect the sanctity of the vote is to station an armed legal force just out of sight who can rush in and physically protect election facilities if needed.
