No one realizes how important NCAR is. As a dual degreed Meteorologist, this is offensive and, in some ways, retaliatory against Polis and Colorado for not allowing the release of the election rig
I find the AI push as pure evil. It is being manipulated to big business and republican election rigging. The same people claiming the election of 2020 was rigged. Biggest bunch of hypocrites!
As many-years-ago meteorology major (don’t judge me- it was differential equations that kicked my butt) and an 18000 hr pilot, the dismantling of NCOR is just another example of sticking one’s head in the sand. Like one of our late dogs (GSD- they seem to be the most sensitive) who with every crack of lightning would look for a new place to hide, so this administration does. Whether it’s the economy, our health or the weather, if we get rid or screw with the inputs. then we don’t need to deal with the outputs. Until a lightning strike lights the house on fire.

Reading about MAGA’s infighting does give me a sense of shadenfraude. It reveals them for who they really are: racist, power hungry, conspiracy theory egomaniacs.

Liked, restacked & shared to Bluesky (as always). A fish (and the USA has been the biggest fish in the sea since World War II), starts rotting from the head. That Trump and his rotten regime are bad through and through is, sadly, pretty undisputable and the stench is spreading through the world. I fear the aftermath will take longer to heal than the scars of WWII; we may well be teetering on the precipice of WWIII.
So I cannot wish you a "Merry" Christmas - even if Trump has given us permission! But I will wish you, Olivia, your household & readers, a safe holiday season, a loving and warm home & family-time, caring arms around you, good health and freedom from want.
