When it comes to ICE, and DJT wanting to change our perception of them, by changing the name to NICE or having them help during disasters, it reminds me of the saying “if you put lipstick 💄 on a pig 🐖 it is still a pig 🐖”. The treatment of immigrants by this administration is inhumane and needs to stop. This country was built by immigrants, MAGA doesn’t seem to understand that. Perhaps, if they read the history books and stopped banning them, they might learn how they got here.

They're an original 6 team, have great uniforms and I'm basically a fan of all things Canadian (and Canadiens) now. Watching that miserable Tampa crowd chant USA USA made me want to vomit.

I became hooked on hockey in the 1970s when Buffalo had its famous “French Connection.” Three players: Rick Martin, Gil Perreault, and Rene Robert. Dang they were good. Buffalo always played O Canada along with the Star Spangled Banner. I learned O Canada quickly, and sang along. On one hand, it did not seem like a big deal when Sabres fans sang the song a capella when Clune’s mic died. On the other hand, people can’t seem to get together and do something nice anymore (including Buffalo people) so that really was cool.

I appreciate the opening sentence, it felt like the guardrails are coming off. What saddens me is the guardrails have apparently been coming off for years. As the creeping sickness of money rules everything, even the supreme court, has been in the making. The dystopian times of now didn't happen over night. That leaves me both sad and confused.
One thing I have in my life is my effort to hold everything 'lightly'. It has all happened before. Unfortunately, we who prefer to go through life with eyes wide open, recognize history repeating itself. Still, Hold it all lightly. Democracy IS fragile. After our guardrails are down, the truth shines through, we are all fragile.. As was seen by Artimis 2 astronauts. Our best bet for daily existence, is 'hold it all lightly'.

Putin is losing in Ukraine, Maygar took office in Hungary.
My gut tells me this whole redistricting is going to backfire. We need to get the vote out in such large numbers so the house and senate can flip and MAGA won’t be able to do any more damage.
I urge you to keep up your fight. Take it to the people, make your message resonate so they remember you. Take heart that 3 million Virginians voted to redistricting. Hammer that the will of the people have been disenfranchised by a GOP court. Hammer affordability. Ask them if they are better off now than last year. Fight fire with fire. I have faith in you. Thank you for the link to the Buffalo Sabres fans singing O Canada! They know the words, too. I used to swim in an open-water distance event where the swimmers' meeting featured the US and Canadian anthems. Along with a lecture on water safety.
I still find it surprising that there are so many Americans who are against "antifa", since WWII was fought against fascism! And, of course, antifa is not even an organisation, but a healthy belief system.
People who oppose antifa are basically trump fabricating information and his slaves following the meaningless jargon. We have a fascist govt by default since people are afraid to say the 'emporer' has no functional mind.

Julius Streicher the founder and editor of the anti-Semitic weekly newspaper Der Stürmer, It was all about controlling the minds of the populace. I'm sure the US is on the same track. Ban the books, control the media, air waves Its a slow process but it is happening. School curriculum will start to change, Thanks for all you have done and what you are doing.
