Last night I watched a Netflix interview done with her a short while ago, with the agreement it wouldn’t be aired until she passed.
A must watch. What a brilliant, bold and inspiring woman. Our world would is better today because of her.
May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her.
One other thing: This interviewer, Brad Falchuk did a similar interview with Jane Goodall a while back; i.e. aired posthumously. It occurred to me last night that none of the women or men we revere so much lived their lives as Republicans.
Moral: when your life is about goodness, kindness, charity, helping people and animals, making people laugh and dance (Dolly, looking at you, dear) ... funny how that is more admired than being a grifting, money soiled, zero self awareness, selfish, dishonest troll. (Vanky, Megyn Kelly, Ingraham, Hannity, O’Reilly, et al)
Thanks so much for having coffee with us this morning. I will put good use to the resource for checking our purchased foods for "forever" chemicals. I am so fortunate to live in Lancaster County, PA, where my produce needs are met by a little farm market about a mile from my home. (also grown on one of my family's ancestral farms) It is an organic farm, but it is irrigated with our municipal water supply. It is so hard to make healthy choices these days. I now will have another tool in my kit. As a cancer survivor , it is critical to live as "cleanly" as possible. Our "government" makes it really hard to do so! Have a great Labor Day weekend!

What a beautiful way to “do something!” and channel our rage and disgust. Protest, calls to our (unfortunately MAGA) congressman and campaigning for his opponent, voting, social media posts and letters to the editors are not enough. You and Casey are angels! 😇
The EPA Director Department is exceedingly anti-environmental. They are doing everything to reduce protections of your air, water, food, etc. Case in point, I remember when one of his underlings was being questioned by AOC in Committee regarding Data Center water. She was asked if there were regulations for water quality. Her response was I need to get back to you. These are staple items in a properly run government, including water uptake from groundwater. WOW, there you are right next to Gloria! Lucky you! I worked hard within the NOW organization in the 70's to get Roe V Wade passed and it killed me to see the SCOTUS undo that with Dobbs! We have seen how it is literally killing women! That makes me furious!
I hate that first Dolly and then Gloria are taken and d j tRUMP lives on! I loved Joan Baez's T-shirt at the first (I believe it was) No Kings rally that said: "Is he dead yet?"

I am driven to comment this week because I decided to take you up on your suggestion to start using Recall411; however, it does not work. I have an older iPhone (12 mini) and a much earlier iPad version (7). There is absolutely no way to register for this service. There is no button for the free service, only the premium version. You put your state in and then go to scan and it wants you to sign in. Round and round you go and nothing. Searching the entire site for further instructions is futile.
I have recently had to complain to both my personal bank and Southern California Edison to get them to allow me to use features of their websites and apps that do (did) not work. My bank told me I was using an old iPad so that feature (a legal requirement, btw) won’t work. A few days later, it was magically fixed. The electric company fixed it overnight.
Both of my devices are still fully supported/updated by Apple with no indication of cessation anticipated in the near future.
I cannot afford premium service, nor can I afford to unnecessarily replace my devices, especially now.

Regarding environmental contaminants, disease outbreak, and food-borne pathogens, it seems (as other have pointed out) the supporters of this evil administration are purposely weakening us and making us less healthy. Specifically, people of color who have lower incomes with access to less healthcare and less healthy food. More specifically, those who tend to vote for Democrats. It blows my mind that there are still some Dems who just do not get it! Like Tim Kaine who voted to confirm CDC Director Dr. Erica Schwartz; what the hell?
I truly appreciate you and the class you bring to the truth. There are times for JoJo of Jerz and times for Olivia of Troye, often slightly different ways to say the same things, both refreshingly accurate. Love you!

Not so much defund ICE as severely underfund it. Give it just enough money to do what we want it to do and no more.
