It is often the people who have the least who give the most! These cases happen in Chicago’s south and west side communities. The black churches serve their communities and make sure they are food, clothed and kids get toys at Christmas. There are still good people in this country and I believe will get through this dark time.

Olivia,

The Grisham story is so upsetting that people will publish this to throw red meat at their base.

Voting - didnt the republicans claim voter fraud and election rigging in 2020? Is this hypocritical?

There are so many 'irons in the fire' regarding election rigging, including the hiring of Heater Honey.

This is a great capsule summary from a true insider like yourself!

Utterly ridiculous. That whole Turning Point is simply a white supremacist organization.

This is too much. I really thought you were using a satirical name for someone in the administration. Perhaps Noem.

Here in WA state, we had massive catastrophic flooding this past week. Yesterday, though I had to triple-check its authenticity, our Governor Bob Ferguson posted:

"I just received a phone call from Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Secretary Noem informed me that the president signed our request for an emergency declaration. We have also received written confirmation of that emergency declaration.

I expressed my thanks to Secretary Noem on behalf of the people of the State of Washington during this extremely challenging time.

Now the waiting for $$ begins.

Such important work Olivia. Thank you for the time and effort.

As a survivor of the roll of family scapegoat the line, "But that’s part of the damage: the burden shifts to the target to deny a fictional crime, to reassure strangers, to correct a reality that never existed" really jumped out at me.

Yes, forcing someone to wrestling with the wind is part of the cruelty, the orchestrated damage.

A lot of chilling information, for sure. But we need to know what is going on behind the gloss and lies - the ridiculous pattern of lies!Thank you for keeping us informed from a place of warmth and compassion. I loved the report of the homeless community taking care of the young man with autism.

Through my life of 75 years, I've recognized that those with the least to give are most often the ones helping more. I suspect it's always been that way. The ones with the most don't notice or care.

Thanks Olivia : I'm sure the Supreme Court would like to rule on the Birthright citizenship issue because they want it changed. I feel there are a few justices that would like to re-write the constitution , then the next thing to possibly rule on , Can Trump run for a third time??

That write up of Stephanie Grisham was just another one of Trump's thuggish acts. He is the main inciter in Chief. Nothing but threats and intimidation. Anyone else pulling these stunts like the blustering buffoon would be incarcerated. These are not men , they are just little petulant children who sit around policy tables and vomit out the F--- word.

They'd abolish the Constitution if they thought they could get away with it.

I’m left breathless with all of your reporting today. I remind myself everyday that there is no bottom where evil lives, and that we cannot expect normal behaviour from a man who most certainly has frontal lobe dementia. However the puppeteers are still at work with the puppet giving them cover. I know there are kind people everywhere but right now they are at the margins of power. Thank you for your continued insights Olivia. If I, living in Canada have such anxiety, I can’t imagine how you are doing so I’m sending virtual strength your way.

Nowhere do I see reporting on BRICS.

BRICS + (the expansion over time of countries gaining full membership)

And, R5: the measured internal structuring of the 5 BRICS monetary self - that will arrive.

Seems a pretty big "happening" that we keep our head in the sand about.

A new world order...that leaves NY and the dollar on the outside looking wistfully.

If the criminal and corrupt trump admin can ignore lower court rulings, then why can't any president simply ignore SCOTUS rulings? Unless the Supreme Court is the only court in the land. Why should any organization follow court orders? If lawlessness is the point, then the next dem president can simply jail trump regardless of SCOTUS rulings. Paybacks... Everything trump touches dies, including the rule of law.

Liked, restacked & shared to Bluesky (as always). Lovely to hear the story of August Beckwith - most homeless people are not homeless by choice and share the same values of those of us who are more fortunate - I was a part of such a community briefly some years ago, but after a few months the local council found me a home. Too many people are homeless because of careless government housing policies over the years here in the UK - I suspect that similar policies have exacerbated the situation in the US.
