I am looking forward to learning of the National Opera’s plans. I will follow them and be there for their first run in a new venue.

First, I need to calm myself over Renae’s murder and plan how I can protest most effectively. My heart hurts so badly this AM. Collective grief and anger can move mountains. It has before and it will again!

I really enjoyed yesterday with Wayjet and Lev - chilling to say the least but exactly where we are headed. It is simply barbaric that the government is attacking people and cities out of (1) Looking to incite insurrection act and/or (2) a president's hatred toward a group / city with Somalis. THIS IS ALL STEVEN MILLER AS THE PRESIDENT IMHO CANNOT THINK WITH CLARITY.

Olivia, what is incredible is that pulling the US out of international groups, isolationism, etc - how does this make our country respected? It does not, regardless of his rhetoric. It is sad to see.

Olivia, the most disturbing item from your list (it was hard to narrow down) is the issue with Greenland. I know that in his first term, the orange man-baby wanted to lessen US funding to NATO in order to force European members to increase their funding. However, in this second go around he has stated several times (in veiled threats) he doesn’t think NATO does anything for us (they came to our assistance after 9/11) and he doesn’t know why the US should be involved in Europe goings on. (Geezzz, didn’t this idiot listen in school or can’t he analyze anything and extrapolate that having friends around the world is beneficial to our country?). But aggression towards Greenland would invite armed(?) conflict with Denmark and NATO countries. And he thinks this is wise? So if we look at the bigger picture, he wants “war” in Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico (I saw where he wants to attack drug cartels in Mexico, boots on the ground) and Greenland all at the same time? And the Republicans…crickets. Keep up the info, we need your insight and expertise. Thank you.

Well said, Joan. The mango maniac is also threatening to bomb Iran if Iranian authorities continue to shoot protesters (you heard that right). World War III, anyone?

Greenland won't be the walkover they think it will be. Denmark has flat out stated that they will shoot first and ask questions later. They are already getting reinforcement from Canada, Sweden, and Norway. Other countries are quietly helping, too. Everyone in Greenland owns a 30.06 rifle for subsistence hunting and warding off polar bears. They're expert shots.

If Trump tries it, a lot of good people on both sides will die for no good reason.

January 6th was one of the most shameful days in American history. The policemen/women working that day were true heroes. Mike Johnson acting as an agent for the Administration is a disgrace. The plaque should not need a workaround by the Senate. It deserves a prominent place in the Capitol for the world to see. It serves as a reminder of what should never happen again. So sad Olivia, that although you give us 5 things on Saturdays, it could be a thousand. Every day another heinous event.

I was initially puzzled as to why the plaque wasn’t installed after the law was passed by both the House and the Senate in 2022. This PBS article provides some insight

I'm sure that one reason Mikey is such a doormat for Trump is Mikey's desire for a Christian nationalist theocracy in America.

Olivia, thank you for being a beacon of truth. This is important work. Trump and his allies keep trying to change the narrative about Jan 6, Renee Nicole Good’s murder and so much more. There is more than ample witnesses and evidence showing what really happened. It is not an “agree to disagree” situation.

I will continue to show up because the truth matters, their memory matters.

Stay safe!

Each week I think, “Wow, what a new level of chaos we’ve come to”, hoping for a reprieve that doesn’t materialize. I don’t think that they will get the message until our streets mirror Iran’s, sadly. I am sure that that is the response that they want. The question remains what the outcome of that will be.

There's one common thread that runs through Trump's foreign policy machinations: Every Move Benefits Russia #EMBR

There's nothing Russia would love more than to see us bogged down in conflicts with Venezuela, Greenland, and Cuba and God knows who else. And the Cuban Anschluss IS coming. Thank you Little Marco. The withdrawal from the 66 int'l organizations and treaties is right out of Putin's playbook.

The flood of readily available guns, massive chaos and outright murder here at home from the likes of ICE has Putin beaming from ear to ear

Going forward, if you're unsure where we're headed or what we'll do next on any particular issue, just ask yourself "What Would Putin Do?".

#WWPD

THAT is our foreign policy

Thank you for always stating information clearly and in condensed format. This is not only trump but the republican fascist party. We need to push that and the only true answer to stopping this fascist movement which is press total Democrat ticket in mid term election.

The part about withdrawing from 66 international organizatons is undersold here actually. When countries opt out of those frameworks, they forfeit leverage onsetting rules that will govern climate, tech standards, and trade flows for decades. Competitors step into that vaccum immediately. I remember reading about how China used our absence from TPP negotiations to tilt regional standards their direction and it was kinda jaw-dropping how fast it happened.
