As a Canadian it sickens me to think that weak borders and the importation of fentanyl into the US from Canada is a reason for dumb tariffs. If the leader is so upset about drugs why did he pardon Mr. Ross Ulbricht , an alleged dealer who was serving two life sentences in January 2025. I find it insulting that the mental midget calls our Canadian Prime Minister , Governor . Canada and the USA have been great allies and trading partners for a very long time with one of the largest unguarded borders . Did not Mr. Trump script the Free Trade Act when he was #45 , Now he claims who ever put that act together is a idiot. Go figure. I would want no other country for my neighbor. God Bless both Countries.
BTW..the "tariff money" collected at the border....goes directly to the government administration ! So they get the money and guess who pays them..WE DO with higher prices ... so in fact the extra money$ trump has for himself or bitcoin (not traceable !) is from you and me ..... yes indeed ...

How long has Trump been blathering about tariffs being the most "beautiful" word in the dictionary? He went on and on about this at his slobbery MAGA rallies (along with Hannibal Lecter) to the joy of his deranged MAGAts. Now he says he has a mandate (BS!), so we can count on the dimwit to try and pound this square peg into a round hole. "It'll go! Just keep hitting it!" Everything is torn up though.
Someone pointed out our constitution handed foreign affairs and thus tariffs to the executive branch which means it belongs to Trump. He controls it. It brings all the attention to him. Undiluted. No interference from any other branch. And they all have to “pay” obeisance to him. As for pump and dump possibilities he loves that. And as someone else has pointed out he has been able to do that with real estate. And now cryptocurrency. And it’s all just subtle enough and indirect enough that it’s not screaming bribery. Which would not deter him in any case. But it puts him in control. And he can make endless stories about “why”, that take forever to dispel and disprove. But it’s ALWAYS about HIM. That’s all he needs. Look at the work in Olivia’s essay to dispel so many possibilities. Once again he has done an amazing job of showing us the weak points in our democracy that can be exploited by a president. And how do you combat this? Olivia’s essay is an an excellent and necessary analysis but it’s only a piece of the foundational work to remove Trump. We need to move from analysis to action.

It is called the Mar-a-Lago Accord ...as they cooked up the scheme there(of course) Tariffs are only a part of it ..there is more upside down ideas to be delivered soon..in another wrecking ball morning
