Thank you Olivia. You state explicitly the danger of this shooting. This needs to be what I call the "Four Dead in Ohio" moment when our nation reacted with horror to the shooting of four students at Kent State. This event must not be forgotten. It needs to be the spark that ignites outrage at the Trump administration's policy and use of ICE and other federal officers to meet demonstrations with violence.
Olivia I totally agree with you on all sides. It was to create an escalation so they could send in the National Guard to take over! Yes it was political and yes it is unforgivable and yes they should own it. No Ms Good wasn't a terrorist, she was trying to get out of the way and those ICE used her as an example. Unfortunately, they didn't expect the outcome that happened. And the excuses are also unforgivable. The leader of this mess should be removed. I'm sorry to say she is just a political weapon in the entirety of this whole thing. She stood there and gave a "white washed" opinion of what she thought was happening. She should be removed.
The First Amendment protects the right to peaceful protest. Killing people in the streets of our Country is off limits. Thinking of Renee's kids, Noems response is Diabolical at best.
Well said, Olivia. I am looking for locations of an organized protest in my area wearing the "Ruthless Patriots" hat. Hopefully the dirty shooter will be identified and prosecuted by the state of Minnesota. We know the Feds are already corrupt and won't prosecute. Until that time, here is some advice for the shooter:
Please know that the FBI has taken over this whole investigation. Minneapolis and Minnesota now are not part of this. That is obvious in its motive -- lie and cover-up!
Agreed, Jim. But that cannot ultimately stop a state investigation and prosecution under our Federal system. The Feds have the lead...for now. A separate state investigation is still legally possible if the Feds attempt a coverup or hide the evidence, and there is not a thing the Feds can do to stop it.
THESE FEDS are obviously not playing by the rules. They will coverup, hide, and do it again. The law enforcement of our government is under the executive branch and those people are amoral now.
Although I've been an EMT, I found I couldn't watch the video. That said, I am immensely grateful to those who did document this heinous crime, and though the thought of another such incident sickens me, I hope that more people will be able to present evidence to prove what liars ICE and this whole maladministration are.

It wasn't until later I viewed videos of the incident. It was jarring. What I saw didn't jive at all with what I was told by Noem (and later by Trump).
What I saw was a murder—not domestic terrorism and not self-defense.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I’ve barely slept after yesterday. My father (who had me late in his life), and two uncles fought in WWII. I learned from them. I studied Germany from WWI -WWII. My grandfather fought in WWI. Everything I learned from my family members who fought against fascism is now happening here. How have we forgotten history? How do people not see the similarities? It’s chilling.
