Thanks for your clear writing Olivia. Reading the NSS document was a huge gut punch to me. I don’t like to romanticize America’s post WWII role in the world because we have been the instrument of many bad international actions since then. But to deliberately destroy the fragile global peace those of my generation have had the good fortune to live through is treasonous, especially when abetted by the destruction of our security agencies; we are sitting ducks now. I don’t have words for the anger I feel at the actions taken by this regime. At another time any one of these actions would have resulted in indictments for actual treason IMO.
Susie Wiles. It was powerful. Really because it showed the person pulling the strings. You see the loud and anger with this administration but behind everything in this administration is this quiet woman who doesn’t say a word. Doesn’t raise her voice. Smiles. And pushes policy that projects all of the divisive things we see. So looking at it from a readers perspective I thought that was something that was interesting. She is behind the scenes but she’s the driving force behind all of it. Thank you for all of your writing and coverage you’ve given all of us. Happy New Year and Blessings.
All Americans should be outraged enough to walk to the ballot box and course correct in November. God help us all if we have to live through more of this. The corruption that reigns now will lead to mass migration—of Americans to anywhere in the world where they can be free.

For me it was reading America’s National Security Strategy - as a Brit & European, I was horrified & disgusted - how a draft-dodging cowardly narcissist could attack people who have always been staunch allies of the USA, and support the nation which has been threatening us since WWII and is currently murdering people & both killing & kidnapping children in Ukraine. The sooner Trump shuffles off this earthly plane - preferably from a great height! - the better. I suspect that the USA has lost a lot of friends and multiplied its enemies, which state of affairs will take decades to repair (if we are not plunged into WWIII first). Stay safe, Olivia. ❤️

Though women were made full equal members of our Republic the day it was formed, and they became fellow republican-democrats with men 11 years, 11 months, & 7 days later when our Constitution was ratified (June 21, 1788), representation among our public servants in Government has not kept with the times. This is how we change that:
