I do NOT believe their numbers! I've seen REAL people who REALLY watch the voter numbers say it's less than .5%. Why would an illegal immigrant vote when they know it's illegal and they could go to jail??? Seriously?
I hate to say this but how do we make this stop! This sounds like election tampering 101. The HSI has NO darn business tampering with our elections. The only infractions I've ever heard of in our state was back when our leader was elected for the first time. And guess what party these people were from? The Republican party. That's right. They have no damn business interfering with our elections, because the midterms are STATE election NOT Federal.
But election interference happens pretty much 24/7. Campaign spending is a legal, fairly innocuous form of election interference. Closing polling places and limiting hours is election interference on a more serious level. So is understaffing -- when voters have to wait hours in line, they're more likely to give up and go home.
Hiring a private contractor to investigate voter registration/voting history. What could go wrong? Who will this private contractor be? Certainly not a Republican affiliated crony. We already have free and fair elections or at least we did.

This might be your most valuable post so far -- and that's saying a lot! Too many of us don't really understand the mechanics of how vote suppression and repression in general happen, and you've laid out some important ways here.
Voters need to vote early and walk their mail in ballots in - no mailing - if they can vote in person instead of using the ballot do that - turn the ballot in. Track your ballot if you can.
The scariest part of this is they want to get their hands on all the voter registration rolls prior to the election so they can purge it real time.
They know exactly what they're doing - they did this in 2024 and shaved votes in all the key states, flipped top spot in straight Democratic down ballots and created millions of votes in bogus counties.
Of course Texas handed over our rolls immediately - so now millions of voters have probably been examined and sorted - backwards and forwards by ZIP codes and last names.
Here's hoping Election Day in November proves to be Trump's biggest TACO Tuesday yet. For me, the biggest surprise & deepest disappointment in all this has been the willingness of so many in federal LE and the military to be eager & willing accomplices to these subversive, anti-democratic, un-American actions--had no idea how deep and wide the rot ran. Thanks so much for your indefatigable work, unconquerable spirit, & thoughtful, incisive voice!
This is why I am only about 50.1% confident in a blue wave. They've been planning this since J7, 2021. The effort will be bigger, stronger and more institutionalized than anything we saw on J6. They've enlisted the SC, the UPS, Repube Governors and the entire goddamn party
BUT ... let's imagine I'm wrong. What happens next?
Easy answer. See Kari Lake, Mike Lindell, and the others who've claimed fraud with zero evidence. The races will be fought in court, appealed multiple times, and none of them will concede. And Mike Johnson will lead the effort to obstruct
This isn't brilliant insight on my part; it's all right out in the open. And my confidence in our leaders' ability or even willingness to fight the necessary fight is ... sub 50%

So folks, if you are getting the message so appropriately stated by Olivia, don't get discouraged; if anything, it should jar your desire to do your constitutional duty and vote. Don't let anyone ICE, military, or others hamper your trip to the polls; vote all the retired GOP House and Senate members out of office and replace them with folks who want to represent you.
Military on the streets? They'll need some kind of emergency declaration to do that. National emergency, like people out demonstrating on the scale of the "No Kings" actions, after the feds invalidate ballots. I'm getting a really good first-aid kit, and brushing up on emergency medical care, to prepare for this one.
