You are spot-on, Olivia. We are sitting ducks waiting for Donald to quack and grasping @ straws to plan how we move forward as families just simply trying to live life. Awaiting how to process all of this.

I think that Miss Troye has far more of a feeling for the situation that you do regardless of your genius nephew. She has worked in government very close to the top and you have not. So Miss Elena keep your ridiculous opinions under your hat.

Calling an argument ridiculous just because you disagree with it is a stupid way to argue. You would be kicked out of debate class for saying that.

She is NOT a scientist. You need to have a scientist who knows how to make nuclear weapons to give you advise, regardless of what ms. Troye says about the political side of this.

My genius nephew would decline making any decision on this since he does not know about the science of nuclear weapons, the government does know, Ms Troye does not know and could not possibly know because she is not at that level where she can be provided top secret info from the government.

Best line of your post quoted from David Frum: even a good decision executed by the wrong people is a disaster waiting to happen. Let’s hope that the professionals in our military can prevent or manage the worst outcomes without casualties in our military. We don’t know if Iran’s leadership is capable of acting rationally so we have to assume they may not and be prepared. And from Israel point of view , look at it this way what would the US do if we had an aggressive neighbor with the possibly unavoidable threat of wiping the entire US from the planet and no regard by that regime for the people of that nation

I don’t think B.B. is thinking about what is best for Israel. Don’t forget he gave green light to support if Hamas before October 7th. He is a warmonger.

The lack of a “plan” for after the bomb was dropped is really concerning and not a surprise at all. During the 1st term, he couldn’t wait to explode one of the big bombs, just so that he could watch it blow up. He isn’t above selling rights to watch the videos of the Big Beautiful Bomb drop for personal profit. He is about as mature and stable as a 13 year old little boy.

Trump will probably show bomb dropping videos at his next Mar-a-Lago crypto grift.

This is just my two cents, which probably isn’t worth much, but I see this act as a means for Trump to insure Gaza from Israel so he can go build his golden strip mall. He really is that petty. After everything I’ve seen so far I wouldn’t put it past him to burn the entire world to the ground just so he can stroke his own ego & make stacks of cash 💵

Unlike Trump, Ms. Troye has learned from her experiences and doesn't make her decisions based on her gut feelings. Iran wasn't a threat to us before last night, yet Trump did Bibi's bidding without getting anything in return. The lesson has to be full speed ahead toward an Iranian bomb since nuclear countries don't get attacked.

We are not in a war just yet, but give the Orange God some time. 😉🤦‍♂️💩😔

I cannot wait to see how that 22 year old in charge of counter terrorism handles real terrorism because it is coming. 🤦‍♂️💩😔 My guess is he gets fired quickly.

JD Vance is an opportunistic moron. Between his book, failed VC career and almost failed Senate run, he's a disaster in the making.

I loved the DoD news conference where they kept confirming that everything was kept secret. Well, at least they didn't add anyone that didn't belong to their Signal chats! 😉🤦‍♂️

I see the Republicans still think they can do regime change. Do we need to remind them how well it worked in Iraq? How well it worked back in 1979 in Iran? How about Chile? Yeah, the US doesn't do regime change well, so let's not go down that road shall we? I can hear them now saying, "Yes, but ... this time it will be different!" No it will not! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️💩

I hope all of the idiots like the idea of airport-like security in our malls and other public spaces because I am guessing that is where we are heading as a result of this military action. I am sure that will greatly help the GOP's re-election efforts for the mid-terms. NOT!

Best advice I can give everyone is stay vigilant and pay attention to your surroundings. Because your life could depend on it.

This is so frightening. The idiot in the White House just launched a war and has NO IDEA what to do next, and no one with any sense to guide him, not that he’d listen. Is there no line he can cross where the Congress finally says “enough”? At 72 it’s hard for me to understand how greed for money and power means you will go along with anything this moron does no matter how odious or ILLEGAL!! SHAME!!

Failure to brief the Gang of Eight is evidence of Trump's recklessness. Just one more example of an Administration who believes that the ends justify the means - a recipe for disaster.

I probably shouldn’t have read this prior to bed! But as always, thank you Olivia for keeping it real. I’ll follow your advice and grab a little cash. As an aside the myriad posts on threads et Al imploring Iran to focus on one specific individual if retaliating are rather amusing. A bit of levity in a dark time.
